My research begins with a practical question: how can participants establish legitimacy, monitor one another, and build reputation when no central authority is sufficient? I study cryptographic trust protocols for multi-agent networks, combining distributed verification, mechanism design, trust and reputation systems, and Byzantine fault tolerance. GTCX provides the real-world implementation context in frontier commodity markets; the next frontier is testing whether those same mechanisms can govern networks of AI agents.
